After immigration, we will be met with the local tour guide and drive up to the ancient Mediterranean city of Alexandria. The city boasts of having one of the longest marine fronts in the world. After lunch and check-in we will have time to rest before we head out to visit the Montazah Garden and Qaitbay Citadel (from Out Side).
We will visit the city famous for its Great Library, which was one of the biggest in the ancient world. The once burned-down library is now completely restored and one of the wonders of Egypt. We will also visit the Catacombs before getting on the highway to Cairo.
Visit Pyramids, entering the Pyramid is optional. After the Pyramids, we will visit the Valley Temple and the Sphinx, a man with a lion's appearance. To fly to Aswan, Egypt's southernmost Nile city, we will drive to Cairo airport in the evening. Overnight in Aswan.
The largest ancient temple complex in Egypt, Abu Simbel, will be our destination today. We will depart from check-out at 0400 hours. The enormous seated sculptures at Abu Simbel are bathed in the morning sun. Built atop Lake Nasser, an artificial body of water created by the Aswan High Dam, lies Abu Simbel. From its original site, which was to be submerged in the lake, Abu Simbel was gradually relocated. After lunch, we will stop by Nubian Village and then make our way to the Aswan Souk on the Nile cruise.
After breakfast, we’ll sail to the High Dam and the Island Temple of Philae. After lunch on the cruise, enjoy views of Aswan as we drift along the Nile, which flows south to north. The ancient Egyptians revered the Nile, and we'll also visit the unique twin temple of Kom Ombo
In the morning, we’ll disembark to visit the Temple of Edfu, about 5 km from the West Bank. Afterward, we'll return for breakfast and set sail toward Luxor. We'll pass through the Esna lock, where local sellers will approach the cruise with artifacts. Enjoy stunning views from the sundeck as we sail, arriving in Luxor.
We’ll head to the East Bank, home to one of the world’s largest collections of ancient artifacts. The enchanting Valley of the Kings offers a glimpse of real tombs, preserved unlike those in the pyramids. Next, we'll visit the magnificent Colossi of Memnon before making our way to Luxor Airport for our flight to Cairo.
Leave for Ismailia to see the Suez Canal in the morning. The canal prevented economic depression during the revolution. Subject to availability and Canal Authority clearances, we'll cross the canal by local boat. While having lunch at a nearby hotel, you may observe Egypt's largest revenue source. Dine and sleep in Cairo.
Stop by the Cairo Museum, formally the Egyptian Museum, to see the priceless artifacts from Tutankhamun's tomb and the greatest collection of pharaonic antiquities in the world. We will travel to Cairo Airport to board the trip to India after lunch.
