Frequently Asked Questions

Is Morocco safe for travellers?

Yes. Morocco is one of Africa's safest destinations for tourists. Our local guides know the cities intimately and we stay in well-established, vetted accommodations.

What should I wear?

Morocco is a Muslim country — we recommend modest clothing (shoulders and knees covered) in cities and religious sites. In the desert and mountains, practical layers are more important.

How hot does it get?

Oct–Nov and Mar–Apr are ideal: 20–28°C. Winter (Dec–Feb) is pleasant in cities (15–22°C) but cold in the desert at night (5°C). We do not run departures in July or August.

Do I need to speak French or Arabic?

Not at all. Our guides speak fluent English. But learning a few words of Darija (Moroccan Arabic) goes a long way.

What is the desert camp like?

A luxury camp with proper beds, hot showers, and a dining tent. Think glamping, not roughing it. Your own tent with Berber rugs and lanterns.

Fitness Level

Easy to moderate. The Todra Gorge hike is about 6 km. Desert camel ride is 1–2 hours. Most days involve walking 4–8 km through medinas and villages.

Weather Notes

Oct–Apr: 15–28°C in cities, colder in desert at night (5–10°C). Very little rain. Pack sun protection and warm layers for desert evenings.
