Arrive at the Brandenberg Airport in Berlin. We would have cleared immigration in Warsaw so the arrival in Berlin would only be about collecting your checked-in bags. At the exit, we will meet up with our tour leader and drive to a city centre hotel. The evening is free to walk around and to get the feel of Berlin.
In the morning, check out and enjoy the city tour of Berlin, which includes the Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie, where theruins of the Berlin wall can be seen. Later we will drive to Bad Schandau. In the evening, check in to our hotel in Bad Schandau on the border of Czech and Germany.
After a very leisurely morning, we will drive into the Saxon Swiss National Park and to Bastei where the views of the Elbe are breathtaking. We will also have a chance to check out the sandstone peaks of the area. We will then walk down hill to the town of Rathen. Lunch will be enjoyed in the old town of Dresden which is famous for its Church destroyed in World War 2. In the evening, relax in the hotel back in Bad Schandau
After Breakfast Proceed to Prague. Our city tour includes Town Centre, Astronomical Clock and the Charles Bridge. We will drive to Brno, the second largest town in Czech Republic for a night stay. The purpose of this drive is to reduce the travel time to the Polish border on the next day.
After breakfast check out and proceed to Poland. Our first stop will be Auschwitz, the biggest Labor Camp of World War 2. The Nazi war crimes can be witnessed here in the Auschwitz and Birkenau Museum. After lunch we will reach Krakow by evening. This is the longest journey of our tour but we shall make it interesting by travelling through the Czech countryside.
Krakow is a town with a lot of character. Today we will enjoy a 3-hour city tour which will include the area of the Wawel Castle perched on the Hill Top. Later we will take a walk in the Old Town Square to see the old cloth market and the St Mary’s Church. After free time for lunch we will proceed to the Salt Mines in Wieliczka. These mines although nonfunctional are a rare sight to visit. The Salt Cathedral is the central attraction of the mines.
After a leisurely breakfast, we will be on our way to the foothills of the Tatras Mountain Range. The little town of Zakopane is like a charming little Swiss hill station and before we arrive there we will be greeted by beautiful mountain scenery and typical houses. The evening is free to walk on the shopping street to feel the pulse of this Alpine Town.
In the morning, we will take the funicular tram up the Mt. Gubalowka (1120 m) to enjoy excellent views of the surrounding areas up to Slovakia. Later, return to the base and proceed to Szentendre. We will drive today through most of the Slovakian countryside.
After breakfast, we will explore the small town of Szentendre, which is known for its Art and well-preserved character. Post that, we will drive to Budapest which is divided into Buda and Pest by river Danube. In the afternoon, we will explore the highlights of this beautiful city which includes the Hero Square, House of Terror and the great view from the Castle Districtafter which we will enjoy a dinner cruise on the Danube, viewing this beautiful city by night. Return to Szentendre for the night stay.
Today we will drive to Croatia. As we cross the border from Hungary to Croatia, we will visit the Beautiful Town of Varazdin, the ex-Capital of Croatia. We continue on our drive after lunch to reach Zagreb. The evening will be in leisure. Overnight stay in Zagreb.
After breakfast, we will explore the city of Zagreb. We will have a half day city tour of Zagreb. Later post lunch, we will head towards Slunj. The evening will be free to explore the beautiful town of Slunj. Overnight stay in Slunj.
After an early breakfast we will check out and head to the wonder of Croatia, the Plitvice Lakes. This is a national park with walkways that pass through natural lakes and you can enjoy the waterfalls on the way. After lunch we will proceed to the real country side of Croatia, the Peninsula of Istria, and check in the hotel for dinner. The hotel is situated overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the port city of Opatija.
After a traditional Croatian breakfast, we will spend the day travelling in the interiors. We will taste the truffles (local mushrooms) and visit the beautiful blue coast of Istria. We will have local lunch and then return back to Opatija for a free evening.
Today, we will depart for Slovenia. Our first halt will be at the natural wonder of Postojna cavescreated by the Pivka River. A train will take us to the centre from where a walking tour will take us through the various Karst Caves formed due to water erosion. After a typical Slovenian lunch, we will head to Lake Bohinj in the foothills of the Julian Alps, the parallel mountain chain to the Swiss Alps. In the evening you have the entire lake to yourself and the only one to share it are the mountains around which form a perfect impression on its clear blue waters.
In the morning we will head to the Vogel Cable Car station to go up the mountain and enjoy the beautiful view of the Lake Bohinj and the surrounding mountains and villages. Later, drive to Lake Bled to enjoy a Gondola ride in the lake and go upto the Church of Assumption in the middle of the lake. Free time will be given for lunch in Bled after which we will enjoy a piece of the famous Bled cake. Drive back to Bohinj in the evening
Today, we will leave for Ljubljana Airport to board the flight back home.
