Arrive at Siem Reap Airport and check in to your accommodation. Take some time to rest before heading out in the evening. Begin your exploration with a visit to Wat Thmey, a local Buddhist pagoda with significant historical importance. Next, explore the Cambodia War Museum and the Old Market (Psar Chas). We’ll conclude the day with a visit to the renowned Artisans d’Angkor. Overnight stay in Siem Reap.
Start at the Angkor Thom complex, exploring the stunning Bayon Temple and the iconic Ta Prohm Temple, famously known as the “Tomb Raider” temple. In the afternoon, visit the majestic Angkor Wat, the largest and most breathtaking temple in the area. As the day winds down, head to Phnom Bakheng for a spectacular sunset view. With a limit of 300 visitors at the peak, you’ll have plenty of time to soak in the beauty. After sunset, return to town to relax and reflect on your unforgettable experiences. In the morning, head out of town to Kulen Mountain, a sacred site and the birthplace of the Khmer Empire. Begin your visit to the River of a Thousand Lingams, where ancient carvings of gods and numerous Shiva Lingas are etched into the riverbed, visible during low water levels. These carvings, believed to be nearly a thousand years old, are meant to bless the water. Next, visit the Buddhist pagoda to see the impressive Reclining Buddha, one of Cambodia’s largest sandstone statues.
