Across 10 days, 7 cities,and over 2000 miles, a group of 13 of us, both young and the young at heart travelled the length and breadth of Morocco, in a bus that allowed each of us a window seat that, in the midst of song, chatter, laughter and sharing of food, offered us a landscape view of the Sahara desert, the Atlas mountains, snow covered peaks and miles of grassland. That, in essence, as Asha Bhat wanted us to experience, was the varied, rich and distinctive geography of the land, that straddled such a diversity of nature in its comparatively small size for a country. Asha was attentive, caring, chatty, fun and full of interesting anecdotes that showcased her experience and expertise of the travel and terrain. Her Morocco trip gave me a glimpse of this fascinating country, highlighting it's special crafts and culture, with stopovers at important sites and medinas. It's a beguiling taste of Morocco, inviting me to take a deepdive at any of the places I find particularly interesting, if ever I think of doing in the future. The hotels were excellent, and Asha added her personal touch, often going the extra mile to make our trip a truly memorable one! Case in point being organising a delicious Indian meal when most of us were simply tired of eating the Moroocon one-note Tajin!
